Siraha woman burns herself, injured
LAHAN: A woman sustained burn injuries after she set herself on fire in Lahan Municipality of Siraha district, on Tuesday.
According to the Lahan Area Police Office, Preeti Kumari Karna (36) of Lahan-4 was injured in an apparent suicide attempt after a dispute with her mother-in-law.
She was rescued by her husband, Saroj Kumar.
He has also sustained minor burn injuries while trying to save his wife.
Injured Karna was rushed to the Saptarishi Hospital in Lahan and then referred to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for further treatment.
