Sitaram Yechuri arriving today

Leader of the Indian communist party (Marxist), Sitaram Yechuri, is scheduled to leave for Kathmandu on Thursday. According to a source close to Yechuri, the aim of his visit is to congratulate the leaders of the parties for successfully holding the Constituent Assembly polls. “During his stay in Kathmandu, he will meet PM Girija Prasad Koirala, Maoist chairman Prachanda, Maoist second-in-command Dr Baburam Bhattarai, CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and NC leader Dr Shashanka Koirala and will hold talks on contemporary issues,” the source said. — HNS
