Bara, December 20

Police arrested an armed group of six persons for their involvement in planning to rob in Kolhabi Municipality, Bara last night. The arrested were made public at a press meet organised in District Police Office, Bara, today.

They have been identified as Pappu Sahani, 31, Dinesh Das, 28, Sanjaya Sah, 30 of Sitamani, India; Dinesh Kumar Sah, 29, of Malangawa Municipality; Ram Sewak Mahara, 50 of Kisanpur Rural Municipality and Jagat Mahara, 42, of Ishworpur Municipality in Sarlahi.

Police seized three pistols along with bullets and a knife from the arrested.

SP Raj Kumar Baidabar  at DPO, Bara, said the police team had aced on a tip-off and held the armed group while they were making plans to rob areas in the municipality. SP Baidabar said police received information as the armed group was talking secretly in a tempo heading towards Kolhabi from Tamagadi last evening.

A police team led by DSP Bhubaneshwor Sah held the group. Sah said they had got information about their involvement in dacoity in different parts of the country.
