Six arrested on charge of forgery

Rajbiraj, December 14

District Administration Office Saptari made public at least six persons, including staffers, ward secretary and three Indian nationals, who were held on the charge of forgery in the district today.

The alleged have been identified as Ajaya Kumar Yadav, office assistant at the DAO, Mohammad Okil Miya, Rajbiraj Municipality ward 10 secretary and Kalim Miya, 55, of Hariharpur, Sunsari.

Indian nationals Mohammad Latifur Rahman of Antakotha of Uttardenajpur; Mohammad Nabed of Tiwariya, Kisanjung district; and Mohammad Sairo, 28 have also been held on the charge of making and abusing the government’s stamp and preparing fake Nepali citizenship certificates.

They were held from Raj Stadium last evening after police acted on a special tip-off.

According to SP Mukesh Singh, police seized government stamp, scores of fake Nepali citizenship certificates, staff identity cards, six mobile sets and Rs 1.15 lakh cash from their possession.
