Six killed as bus in wedding procession touches electric wire in Dhanusha
DHANUSHA: At least six people attending a wedding procession were killed when a bus they were travelling on caught a naked electric wire in Dhanusha district on Friday.
The deceased have yet to be identified.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Govinda Thapaliya of Dhanusha, informed that the incident took place when the bus (Na 5 Kha 1752) heading towards Baltiya Kothiya in the district from Dudhauli Municipality of Sindhuli carrying wedding attendants touched 11,000 voltage power supply line at Baltiya Kothiya of Sabaila Municipality.
Other passengers who were injured in the incident have been taken to Janakpur Zonal Hospital.
It has been learned that the bus was ferrying a total of 40 passengers.
