DANG: A six-year-old girl died after she was rammed by a jeep at Bedi in Deukhuri of Dang district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Laxmi Sarki of Khabari in Gadhawa Rural Municipality-6 in the district.

The jeep (Ra 1 Ja 33) en route from Gadhawa to Khabari, struck Sarki near Khabari River, killing her on the spot last night, informed police.

The preliminary investigation points to brake failure as the cause of the incident, said police.

Meanwhile, the Gadhawa-based Area Police office has mpounded the vehicle and detained the driver for further investigation.
