SURUNGA, JHAPA: This year's 'SL Sharma Creative Journalism Award' was presented to Jhapa-based senior journalist Nakul Kaji. The award carrying a purse of Rs 21,000 instituted in honour of democratic fighter SL Sharma was presented to journalist Nakul Kaji marking the 61st founding day of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

Press Council Nepal Chairperson Borna Bahadur Karki and Rajendra Salav on behalf of donor's family, jointly honoured Kaji with the award amid a programme here today.

Likewise, the 'Parbati Journalism Motivation Award' established in memory of Sharma's spouse Parbati Devi Sharma has been conferred on Kalyani Dahal, spouse of senior journalist Ganja Bahadur Dahal. The award carries a purse of Rs 11,000.
