BAJURA: As many as 11 VDCs in Bajura district received snowfall on Thursday with the sudden change in weather.

The high-altitude northern part of the district is covered by snow, said Dhanlal Sunar, a local of Bichchhya VDC of the district.

With the snowfall, schools in the areas have closed and locals are facing difficulties carrying out daily works.

Transport along the Martadi-Kolti road section has closed as the road has been blocked by snow.

Snowfall along with the rain has affected the normal life of the people in the higher reaches of the district.

Bichchhya, Rugin, Gotri, Sappata, Dahakot, Manakot and Atichaur VDCs have been affected the most due to the rain and snow.
