KATHMANDU, APRIL 7

The Social Security Fund (SSF) has signed online agreements with 44 hospitals for the convenience of contributors.

Following the agreement, a contributor to the fund will not have to visit the fund's office to claim reimbursement after receiving treatment from the aforementioned hospitals.

Moreover, beneficiaries will only need to pay 20 per cent of the treatment cost when receiving services from hospitals that have signed the agreement.

Beneficiaries receiving healthcare services, medicines, and maternal health services under the 'Medical Treatment and Maternity Security Scheme', as well as healthcare facilities covered under the 'Accident and Disability Security Scheme', from the aforementioned hospitals will not have to gothrough the hassle of claiming reimbursements afterwards.

Regular contributors can receive facilities by showing their fund identification card at 44 hospitals - nine in Koshi Province, nine in Madhesh Province, 20 in Bagmati Province, two in Gandaki Province, and four in Lumbini Province - affiliated with the fund's system.

Beneficiaries will be able to avail this facility exclusively from the 44 hospitals located in various locations throughout the country that have signed the online agreements.

For treatment received at any hospital other than the aforementioned, necessary documents must be submitted to the fund office for reimbursement. The fund has said it is committed to increase the number of affiliated health institutions and services in the coming days.
