The 27th Social Service Day was observed here on Friday with the slogan ‘’social transformation NGO movement, good governance and transparency its identity’’.

Speaker Subas Nembang gave away Tulasi Mehar Award to the Sunuwar Sewa Samaj, Dalit Sachetana Samaj, Community Health Service Council, Ananta Social Service, Nepal Netrahin Sangh and Susta Manasthiti Kalyan Sanstha, Human Rights Award to Ciwis Organisation and the Disaster Management Prize to the Social Development Research Centre Dhankuta. Minister of State for Women, Children and Social Welfare Urmila Aryal gave away Long Service Medals and prizes and certificates to the council staff.
