PHIDIM: A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army deployed from the Bhairav Dal Battalion in Panchthar district has defused a socket bomb found in Pipalbote, Angsarang-9 of the district, on Thursday.

A local youth had spotted the improvised explosive device while cutting grass for the cattle in the locality yesterday afternoon. Subsequently, the youth reported the case to the local police post.

Later, the Panchthar District Police Office was notified about the incident. Army said they swung into action after police sought their help to defuse the explosive.
