Damak, April 14:

Three Nepali youths claimed today that they have developed a software of Nepali-English bilingual dictionary. Roshan Pokhrel, Saran Dahal and Madan Pradhan — all from Biratnagar of Morang district —claimed that their software is the first of its kind in Nepali. Three different sounds and their writings can be applied while using the technique, Roshan said. According to him, the software gives facilities to look for meanings from Nepali to Nepali, Nepali to English and English to Nepali. While trying to simplify the Nepali typing for the user — which is necessary to find out meanings from Nepali to Nepali and Nepali to English — an arrangement has been made of a picture of the letter of the alphabet. After typing any word on the picture, meaning in either language will appear, said Madan. They claimed that their software titled ‘RMS’ is of international standard. An arrangement of tour assistant has also been made for guiding how to use the software.
