Bardibas: The Chhinnamasta Armed Police Force Battalion, Bardibas, Mahottari has increased special security alertness on the East-West highway in view of the heavy traffic on the highway during the Bada Dasain, Tihar and Chhath festivals.

Twenty-five special APF security camps have been set up at different places along the 60 kilometres stretch of the highway in the district from Bardibas up to Bagmati River that marks the border with Sarlahi and Rautahat districts.

Besides the establishment of security camps, extensive highway security patrol teams have also been mobilized on that section of the highway in view of the robbers mounting their activities as the highway passes through forest area in that section, chief of the APF Battalion, Superintendent of Police Rajendra Shakya said.
