Statute drafting immune to political disputes: Nembang
Pokhara, November 18:
Chairman of constituent assembly Subas Nembang today said disputes between political parties will not disrupt the drafting of the new constitution.
Speaking at a press conference organised by the Kaski chapter of Press Chautari Nepal, he said, “The committees that will be formed under the CA Regulations will solve the problem if there was any political disruption.”
“The regulations were drafted with the consent of all the 25 parties with a view to drafting the constitution unanimously,” he said, adding, “Fourteen committees will be formed by mid-December with a view to solving any problems that may arise in the course of drafting the new constitution.”He said people from hills and the Tarai will contribute in drafting the new constitution.
Saying that PLA should be integrated with the NA as per the Comprehensive Peace Accord, he said Nepali Congress and Maoists should not refrain from speaking on the issue in public.
