Stay away from self-claimed 'messiahs': Dahal
KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday stated that the Madhesi people should stay away from the deception created by some individuals who take themselves for the messiahs of Madhes.
Speaking at a programme organised by the party's Province No. 2 Committee to impart training to the party leaders and cadres in Mahottari today, Dahal further said the sooner the obstruction at Nepal-India border ended the better it would be to the Madhesi parties politically.
According to a press note issued by his secretariat, Chairman Dahal claimed that all the talks over and the efforts to resolve the Madhes crisis so far were carried out in an initiative taken by his party.
Though the talks held yesterday could not make a breakthrough, Dahal said, it paved the way for efforts for conclusive talks.
The Maoist leader claimed that major parties were closer to resolving the differences over the demarcation within three months.
Dahal went on to say that the Constitution Amendment Bill would move ahead in the Parliament as soon as the government responded to the lawmakers' concerns at the Parliament today.
