Still no clue about missing woman’s whereabouts

Police and locals along with  relatives have been searching for Nanu Maya Gaire, 35,  who has gone missing since February 19 from Byas Municipality in Tanahun.

Nanu’s husband-Padam Duwadi, who was in Dubai, came back after receiving news that Nanu’s had gone missing. “We have deployed locals at Kalesti, Shantinagar, Deurali Nagar, Gajaude and Chintutar, among other places, to search for Nanu,” he said. Nanu’s father Bidhya Bahadur Gaire said the whereabouts of his daughter is yet to be known though they had found her citizenship certificate and NIC Bank, Damauli Branch cheque book near Kolesti River.

Nanu’s family members said that she had withdrawn Rs 570,000 from the same bank on the same day that she went missing. It is said that her call details showed that she did not talk to any person except her husband on that day.

Meanwhile, Nanu’s family members said they were preparing to file an FIR against the suspect. SP Umesh Raj Joshi of District Police Office, Tanahun, said that a police team has been deployed to search for the woman.

Inspector Manoj Pandey at DPO said that police in different units were informed about the case after Nanu’s relatives filed an application at the DPO.
