Finance Minister Dr Ram Saran Mahat today admitted that the government has not yet been able to create an investment-friendly environment in the country.

Inaugurating the Kaski Finance here, Dr Mahat said: “Agitations in the Tarai and strikes on highways are creating obstacles to the development of trade and commerce,” he said. He urged the political parties and the organisations concerned to put an end to the culture of strikes. He said bandhs and chakkajams do not foster development.
