Stir to go on till democracy restored: UML

Kapilvastu, November 12:

A central committee member of the CPN-UML, Ramnath Dhakal, said today that the movement launched by the seven-party alliance will not be discontinued unless democracy is restored in the country. The people will be taken to the streets to root out autocratic monarchy rather than holding a dialogue with the King, he said. Speaking at a programme held by the party’s Kapilvastu District Council, Dhakal said UML is going to organise a public demonstration in Butwal on November 19 against the February 1 royal takeover. He said a drive to involve one member each from every household has already been started to make the demonstration a success.

Another central member, Radha Gyawali and central adviser Najir Miya also spoke at the programme chaired by party’s district secretary Balaram Adhikari.
