Stress laid on timely CA elections
Kathmandu, March 2:
Speaker of the legislature parliament Subas Chandra Nembang today said that Nepali people would become “weak and powerless” if elections to a constituent assembly were not held on the stipulated time.
“Constituent assembly will decide the fate and future of the Nepali people,” Nembang told a programme.
He said the goals and aspirations of the popular Jana Andolan-II would not be accomplished if constituent assembly polls were not conducted.
Those felicitated include in the programme include singer J B Tuhure, comedian Manoj Gajurel, folk singers Badri Pangeni and Bhagawan Bhandari, journalist Rishi Dhamala, social workers R K Rai and Rajan Lamsal, and stage artist Bal Krishna Niraula.
