LAMJUNG: Normal life was crippled here due to a general strike called by the ruling CPN (UML) today protesting against unruly behavior of the YCL. Educational institutions, government offices, industries and transport services remained shut in the district. Protestors burnt tyres and halted vehicular movement. Strike also affected normal life in Besisahar, Udipur, Bhoteodar, Sundarbazaar and other areas was paralysed. Cadres of YCL thrashed UML cadre and Youth Force District member Rishi Raj Basnet on Wednesday in Udipur. Injured Basnet was rushed to Kathmandu last night for further treatment.
