Strong wind shatters shelters of Dhunche quake survivors
DHUNCHE: A strong wind in Dhunche, Rasuwa district headquarters, and around on Wednesday morning destroyed dozens of temporary shelters of last year's earthquake survivors.
According to Civil Society Chairman Babulal Tamang, thousands of locals rising in the huts for last 11 months were panicked by the wind that lasted for around four hours since around 6 am today.
Chief of the District Police Office Awadhesh Bista said the district authorities had called locals to stay alert and ensure safety.
Meanwhile, a fire sparked in a forest in Haku village of the district was not yet doused. The loss was yet to be calculated.
