Student artists’ noble feat
Nuwakot, August 22:
A total of 170 students from different schools of Rasuwa district have drawn paintings on a 175-metre-long canvas.
In their creations, the students have portrayed sufferings of people and children during the decade-long conflict.
Students of nine schools of Rasuwa created the work of art under the initiatives of Kathmandu
-based Alternative Knowledge and Development Centre and Rasuwa-based Green Garden Boarding School, proprietor of Green Garden Boarding School Rewa Kumar Poudel said at an interaction on ‘Students Want Peace’ organised today. The canvas was painted in ADRA building at Kalikasthan of Rasuwa district.
The participating students were from Sundarpura Secondary School, Kalika Himalayan Higher Secondary School, Shila Devi Primary School, Manakamana Primary School, Bachchhladevi Primary School, Narayansthan Secondary School, Barahi Primary School and Green Garden School.
Students felt happy for getting the opportunity to engage in a noble creative work, Sabin Lama, one of the organisers of the event said. He also added that that the canvas will be exhibited in Kathmandu.
