With the temporary school building almost crumbling, the students of the Kalika Primary School in Udaypur district have been compelled to study out of the classrooms on the play ground to take their lessons.

The temporary building, the locals constructed with bamboo and hay is in a very pitiful condition and no one has paid any attention to renovate it or to construct a new school building.

Dhanpati Acharya, ex-member of Udayapur district development committee and a resident of Rampur said niether the local people nor the government is interested in renovating the school.

To add to the woes there are no furniture in the schools for the students to sit on and the children squat on the cold ground in the chilling winter days.
