Students under open sky after roofs blew away in storm

BAJURA: The Navadurga Primary School located in a Dalit community in Kanda village of Bajura district is running classes under the open sky, after the blow of its roofs by a storm around seven months ago.

Last year in May-June, the roofs and other physical infrastructures of the school were destroyed by the wind.

The school that has a 66 students upto grade three hence was closed in the monsoon last year.

Local Dalit people are running the school on their own expenses as there is no help from the District Education Office (DEO) expect the permission for the establishment of school.

The school administration has already informed the DEO about the problem, the school said.

The DEO, however, has not extended any help.
