No COVID related death has been reported in Sudurpaschim in the past two days.
According to Health Directorate, Dipayal, no death caused by coronavirus infection has been reported in the past 48 hours in the province.
Of the 1,892 COVID tests conducted in this duration, 97 tested positive for the virus.
As many as 43,442 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the province so far. A total of 259,887 COVID tests have been conducted in the province till date.
The province had recorded highest number of infection on May 21 with 984 persons testing positive on a single day. So far the highest single day COVID causality recorded in the province is 31. In the recent weeks, the infection rate has gone down sharply and in most of the districts, the prohibitory orders have also been relaxed. However, health workers in the province are of the view that there is still a high risk of infection and people should strictly follow the safety health measures.
