Sunkoshi RM begins discussions on EWP draft

Sunkoshi Rural Municipality has started discussions on the draft of Education Work Procedure in Sindhuli.

The rural municipality started discussion on the draft to improve the quality of secondary education by incorporating technology in education and regulating schools.

People’s representatives say that education work procedure to be finalised after collecting suggestions from stakeholders, educationists and people’s representatives will help improve the quality of education in the rural municipality.

At an interaction held in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality today, a draft on education work procedure was presented. Nepal Teachers’ Federation Sunkoshi Rural Municipality chapter chair Shankar Upreti had presented the draft of the education work procedure.

The work procedure aims to include all community, institutional and guthi schools. The proposal on the work procedure envisions ward education committee, school management committee, and mandatory transfer of teacher in every five years, among others.

Rural municipality chair Dipa Bohora said they had handed the responsibility to prepare the draft of the education work procedure to Nepal Teachers’ Federation to increase teachers’ participation.

At the programme, Educationist Bidhyanath Koirala said that community school should contribute to the community. He argued that mobilisation of the students at secondary level should be done to help the community.
