KATHMANDU: A man who was injured in a hit-and-run accident at Duhabi Bhaluwa Municipality of Sunsari died at a hospital in Biratnagar on Monday evening, police said.

An unidentified vehicle had hit Kashiram Chaudhary, a local resident, along the Dharan-Biratnagar road section and fled the scene at around 8:15 pm.

Chaudhary was taken to the Neuro Hospital for treatment but he could not be saved.

The 30-year-0ld was pronounced dead at 9 pm, police said.

Police are looking for the vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run.
