DAMAULI: Surgical delivery service, which was halted for a few months, has resumed at the Damauli Hospital.

After the resumption of service, a team led-by Dr Ramhari Dahal successfully carried out caesarean section delivery of a baby from 33-year-old Siru Kumari Tamang.

Caesarean section delivery is the surgical delivery of a baby by an incision through the mother's abdomen and uterus.

Likewise, the same team performed surgical delivery on 18-year-old Nirupa Thapa of Bhanu Municipality-3 in Tanahun district. "Both the mothers and their newborn babies are in good health," the hospital said.

"In the near future, we will start to provide orthopaedic and appendicitis surgeries from the hospital," Dr Ramhari Dahal shared.

"Patients do not have to travel to Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan anymore seeking surgical delivery service," said Pradeep Raj Adhikari, chairperson of the hospital.
