Pathlaiya, October 2:

Minister for Local Development Ram Chandra Jha today said the armed groups in the Tarai would be called for talks immediately after Dashain.

Minister Jha said this while inaugurating a Dashain festival programme at Auraha in Bara district.

Saying that some agitating forces in the Terai were fighting for political cause, he said the government would not hold talks to the groups involved in killing, abduction and extortion.

Saying that the government was going to announce names of new municipalities soon, he said local people should take initiatives for the development of their localities.

Minister Jha also said that the government was committed to industrial security.
