Talks with Tarai groups on

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is in the midst of back channel negotiations with all agitating groups and a positive outcome is expected soon, said Minister for Science and Technology Farmullah Mansoor today.
However, in case a deal is not reached, the government will apply all measures, including deploying army, to hold the CA polls, Mansoor told an interaction at the Reporters’ Club. “The major demands of Madhesis, including the issue of citizenship, have been fulfilled. If anything is needed, it is the speedy implementation of the agreements,” he said. He warned that the government is extremely careful not to let go the opportunity of making the people sovereign and forces against CA polls would be defeated.
