DAMAULI:  A murder charge has been filed against two girls who were arrested after suspicious death of a teenage boy in Damauli, the district headquarters of Tanahun.

Families of the deceased, Purna Bahadur Ale, had filed an FIR against them.

According to SSP Mohan Kumar Acharya, the sister duo, Sapana Malla (20) and Urmila Malla (16) from Bhadgau in Bayas Municipality, were remanded to custody for further investigation.

The tenth grader Ale (16) was found dangling on a tree on the premises of Bigyanchaur-based Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus on last Monday.

Earlier, irate people of Damauli had resorted to the street, demanding fair probe into the incident.

The death toll of the demonstrators in the clash between police and agitators in Tanahun district over the issue has already reached two.

Meanwhile, the town is gradually limping back to normalcy from the tension surfaced due to the clashes.
