Tanahun NEA seeks due amount

Sources at Nepal Electricity Authority Tanahun Distribution Centre said that Rs 50.97 million was yet to be collected from various consumers till date in the district.

Finance Officer Chandra Ojha of NEA said that the Community Electrification Service Centre, government offices, industries and factories among other offices have yet to pay the due amount. He further added that Community Electrification Service alone has yet to pay Rs 30,12 million.

Similarly, Byas Municipality’s street lights and other industries and factories owe a total of Rs 10.20 million.

The sources further informed that police and government offices had started paying the bills on time.

Ojha further claimed that regular collection of charges had been systematic compared to previous years.

Chief Sunil Sapkota of the office said that the office had sent the letter time and again to the offices and customers asking them to pay the due amounts as soon as possible.
