DAMAULI: A tractor met with an accident in Baksang, Arunodaya VDC-9 in Tanahun district on Thursday, killing its driver and his helper on the spot.

The tractor (Ga 1 Ta 2249) was heading towards from Kihun  towards Bhimad  of the district.

Police have identified the deceased as Raju Bhat Chhetri (28) of Chilaunebas-9 in Syangja, and his helper Punam Nepali (19) of Sakkal Municipality in Udayapur district.

According to SP of District police Office, Tanahun, Krishna Kumar Mahat, the tractor was returning from Kihun after unloading sand. The vehicle skidded off the edge of the rough road at the place, and subsequently plunged 20 metres down the road.

It has been arranged to send the deceased for postmortem at the Damauli Hospital, informed police.
