TAPLEJUNG: Due to the bandh called by various organisations in Taplejung, all the government offices of the Taplejung Headquarters remained closed on Monday.

The employees associations, Indigenous and Nationalities Federation and Samyukta Limbuwan Morhca issued a press release calling a two day bandh in order to protest the attack on Chief District Officer (CDO) Ram Bahadur Kurumbang.

Ganga Chundal of Change- 3 attacked and verbally abused Kurumbang on Sunday afternoon while he was on his way to attend a human rights related programme. The accused is believed to be in police custody.
