‘Tarai crisis will end soon’
Bhojpur, January 7
Minister for Information and Communications Sher Dhan Rai today said that the country would get relief from the present crisis soon.
Speaking to journalists at a press meet organised by Press Chautari in Biratnagar, Minister Rai claimed that India was responding positively after the constitution amendment bill was tabled at the parliament and the government was holding continuous meeting with the agitating Madhesi forces.
“Hence, the situation is most likely to turn normal within a week.
The government has been very flexible about resume operation at the Birgunj border point,” said minister Rai, who is also the spokesperson of the government.
Constitution amendment and reconstruction are the topmost priorities of the government at present, however, months’ long Tarai agitation and border blockade have been stalling the tasks, he said, adding a taskforce has been formed to initiate talks with the Madhesi force.
