RAJBIRAJ: A pressure cooker bomb went off  on the premises of a house in Rajbiraj, the district headquarters of Saptari, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said that the improvised explosive device (IED) was planted by an unidentified group near local Laxmi Devi Shrestha's house.

Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha (Krantikari) has taken the responsibility of the explosion.

The explosion, however, did not cause any casualty.

SP Bhim Prasad Dhakal of the Saptari District Police Ofiice said police are searching for the suspects.

In a statement, the underground outfit said it carried out the explosion to pay tribute to its cadres who were martyred.
