Tarun Dal demonstrates against government

Biratnagar, January 22

Nepali Congress’ youth wing Nepal Tarun Dal staged a demonstration against the government in Biratnagar, Morang, today.

A rally was taken out by Nepal Tarun Dal Morang to show dissatisfaction with the government’s performance. The demonstration had the participation of top NTD leaders.

Speaking at a protest meeting held after the demonstration in Biratnagar, NTD central President Jitjung Basnet slammed the government over the issue related to the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta. “Regarding the murder, all fingers are pointed at the home minister’s son. The government must complete the probe at the earliest and bring to book the perpetrator no matter who he is,” he said, adding, NTD will launch demonstrations in all seven provinces.

NTD central Vice-president Uttam Chapagain accused tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari of showing the height of irresponsibility and moral depravity by refusing to step down over the shoddy aircraft purchase deal.

The NTD treasurer described the government as a flop and accused the government of undermining the votes of people by failing to deliver as per the people’s expectations.
