Dolakha, August 5

Police today arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in attacking Nepal Tarun Dal Dolakha Vice-chair Chitra Bahadur Tamang with a khukuri.

The arrested are Kishor KC, 36, Shrawan Kumar Shrestha, 37 and Mixon Shrestha, 23. Tamang and the arrested individuals had gone to bed after a meal on last night. Tamang was attacked with the khukuri at around 2:00am today, said District Police Office, Dolakha. Tamang has received cuts on his legs and head. An injured Tamang was referred to Kathmandu for further treatment after he could not be treated at Community Hospital in Charikot. Inspector Madhav Prasad Kafle said Tamang might have been attacked due to old animosity.

Meanwhile, Nepal Tarun Dal Dolakha has submitted a memorandum to Dolakha CDO seeking action against people involved in the assault.
