KATHMANDU: The taxi tempo unit of the Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology, carried out an impromptu check of around 120 taxis on Kupandol bridge in Kathmandu valley on Friday. Officials seized the fare meters of five taxi-drivers found using the doctored meters. Documents of four others were also confiscated. Action has been initiated against the errant drivers, the taxi tempo unit has stated. — HNS
