SAPTARI: A teacher at the Rajbiraj-5-based Premier Boarding School reportedly committed suicide at Sarbodaya Tole in Rajbiraj-4 of Saptari district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Kumar Kamait (28) of Hanuman Nagar Yogini Mai Municipality-8 of the district, the Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported.

According to the District Police Office, Saptari, Kamait killed himself by hanging from a ceiling fan.

The reason behind the suicide is unknown, police said.

The body has been sent to the Rajbiraj-based Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital for postmortem.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
