Teenager drowns in potholes in Pokhara
POKHARA: A teenager drowned Saturday in a pit full of water at Dudeaahal in Pokhara-Lekhnath Metropolitian City-32.
The deceased has been identified as a 14-year-old Ujjwal Gurung of Shuklagandaki-2 in Tanahun district.
Gurung drowned in the potholes formed in course of mining sand when he was swimming there at 12:00 pm with his friends.
After the incident, a team from Kalika batallian of Armed Poice Force Pokhara tried to rescue Gurung without success.
According to Kaski District Police Office, the body has been sent to Western Regional Hospital Pokhara for postmortem.
