BHAIRAHAWA: A 16-year-old girl of Devdaha, Rupandehi, was gang-raped while she was on her way home from the Dashain sasto bazaar and fair in Butwal on Tuesday night. Police have arrested two youths from Rupandehi on the basis of the FIR filed by the victim.

Police also recovered broken bangles and four condoms from the incident site, according to DSP Dil Bahadur Malla at Area Police Office Butwal. Police have arrested Uday Thapa, 36 and Krishna Thapa, 27, for gang-raping the girl. The FIR registered by the victim states that the rape took place at Shivnagar forest in Charange of Devdah Municipality.
