NUWAKOT: As many as 203 temporary police personnel of Nuwakot district have resigned en masse.

As per the terms and conditions of their recruitment, temporary police personnel could either resign or continue to hold the position after completion of local level election in their respective duty districts, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Rishi Ram Kandel. As local level elections were held in Nuwakot during the first phase, the resignations were accepted, DSP Kandel added.

A total of 772 temporary police personnel were recruited for maintaining security during the first phase of local level elections conducted in the district.

The first phase of local level elections were held in the province 3, 4 and  6 on May 14.
