Ten Biplav-led CPN cadres arrested in Bajura

BAJURA: Bajura Police on Tuesday arrested 10 cadres of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) including its Bajura incharge from Budhiganga Municipality-1.

A team of police deployed from Bajura District Police Office (DPO) arrested CPN Bajura incharge Bhupendra BK, secretary Bharat Thapa, district committee members Angaraj Bhandari and Pabitra BK, student committee members Gorakh Rokaya, Samiksha BK, Sushila BK, Sushmita BK, Keshatar BK, and Prem Thapa from Aamkot at around 5:00 am today, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Uddav Singh Bhat, Chief of Bajura DPO.

Police also seized two detonators, two hand grenades, two packets of gunpowder, and donation receipts from their possession, DSP Bhat added.

According to him, police had initiated a search for the cadres after information about them visiting villages to collect donation along with various other illegal activities were reported to the police.

The arrested cadres will be charged as per the Criminal Code 2018.
