Tension runs high in Jamunaha border as UDMF cadres hurl petrol bombs at police
NEPALGUNJ: Tension ran high in Jamunaha border, near Nepalgunj of Banke district, after the cadres of agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) hurled petrol bombs at police personnel from the Indian side of the border on Wednesday afternoon.
Following the incident, a clash broke out between the police personnel and the UDMF cadres.
As many as three police personnel were injured in the clash. Their identities, however, have not been established yet.
It has been learned that police chiefs of Shravasti district of India and Banke of Nepal are preparing to hold discussions to control the clash.
