Tents distributed to quake survivors

FALEBAS: The Nepal Disability Uplift Society Parbat distributed tents to the families with disabilities and affected by the April 25 earthquake.

A total of 31 people with disabilities received tents to help them to ward off the adversities of the ongoing monsoon, according President of the Society Ganesh Subedi. The support was made possible with the assistance of INF Pokhara.

Distributing the tents, President of Federation of Nepali Journalists Parbat Durga Prasad Sharma said relief materials were yet to reached to many quake survivors. And among them the people with disabilities were the most affected, he said.

The Society will soon be distributing corrugated zinc sheets as well to those affected by the quake. More than 3,500 houses were fully damaged and around 7,000 houses suffered minor damage in the April 25 quake and its aftershocks in Parbat.
