Test flight conducted in Geta
Dhangadhi, August 6 :
A test flight was conducted at the Geta airport, which is under construction, in Dhangadhi today.
The construction of 750 metres of the planned 1,800-metre runway in the airport has been completed so far. The airport is going to be upgraded to a regional airport.
A Twin Otter airplane belonging to Sita Air that arrived in Dhangahid from Bajhang landed at the airport today. Pilot of the airplane PA Nepali said the runway was better as compared to that of the Nepalgunj airport.
“Of the first phase plan to construct a 1,200-metre runway, 750 metres has been constructed and the remaining 450 metres would be completed before Dashain,” said construction manager, Ram Prasad Poudel.
