MP Gokarna Bista today expressed possibility of a Thailand-style military coup in Nepal.

Bista was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Democratic National Youth Union’s seventh municipal convention in Itahari.

Bista said the King was getting a chance to get active again due to the government’s apathy. Bista, who is also national chairman of the union, said: “People are getting weak as the government is going on without any vision. The King will take advantage if people become powerless.” Bista said that a democratic republic should be established at the earliest.
