Kathmandu, February 9:

Political leaders and cadres detained at the Guheswori Battalion of Armed Police Force, Duwakot, have condemned the brutal killing of CPN-UML cadre Umesh Thapa at Dang yesterday.

“We pay tribute to ‘martyr of the anti-autocratic movement’ Umesh Thapa and express heartfelt condolence to his family members,” a statement issued here today by some 60 political activists detained in Duwakot.

Detained leaders include acting president of NC (D) Gopal Man Shrestha, Bimalendra Nidhi, Iswor Pokhrel, Keshav Badal, Prabhu Narayan Chaudhary, Pradeep Giri, Suvash Nemwang, Surendra Pandey among others.
