Tharuhat Tarai Party Nepal expels lawmaker Satgauwa

KATHMANDU: The Tharuhat Tarai Party Nepal has expelled the party's vice-chairperson and lawmaker Ganga Chaudhary Satgauwa from the party charging her of acting against the party's statute.

The party has party has two lawmakers in the Parliament.

Satgauwa also heads Legislation Committee of the Parliament.

The TTPN today issued a press release saying that it took a decision to expel her from the party as she acted against the party statute and tried to form a separate party to serve the interests of forces that are against identity.

She, therefore, ignored the causes the party championed in the past and sacrifices many cadres made to champion the political causes, it claimed.

The TTPN said Satgaunwa ignored party’s repeated reminders against her anti-party activities.Satgaunwa could not be contacted for comments.
